I’m Jessica, a final year Biology student at Imperial College London. I’ve started Nature’s Oddities because if I have learnt one thing during my degree, it is that nature is wonderful, mind-blowing and often, a tad peculiar.

Science is usually talked about in a way that is not accessible to many people, but not here on Nature’s Oddities! I want science to be understood and enjoyed by anyone who wishes to read about these fascinating topics on offer. No scientific background required. No prior knowledge assumed.

I’m aiming this primarily at a young audience (teens, students, young professionals), but we don’t discriminate here on Nature’s Oddities and everyone is welcome! So if you’re in need of a break from homework, bored in lectures, or need something to keep you entertained at your office desk, I’m here at your service!

Together we will be exploring topics in animal behaviour, conservation and environmental biology, and covering the latest published research to keep you up to date with the goings on in the scientific world. Comment, like, share with your friends, and most importantly enjoy all that science has to offer!
